50 Cent rocks Kosovo
According to EarthTimes.org, 50 Cent played Pristina last night, making the American rapper the first international act to perform in the break-away republic.
Preparations for the concert at the city’s football stadium include hundreds of local police and international peacekeepers securing the stadium perimeters and stage area, as well as the closure of several streets in the vicinity.
According to local sources, tickets are still available only from scalpers, at 50 euros (72 dollars), 10 times the original ticket price. Many fans from neighbouring Macedonia and Montenegro, as well as from Serbia proper, are expected to travel to Pristina for the event in the volatile province.
Apparently nothing brings warring peoples together like gangsta rap.
