Round-up of news on Georgia

  • Le Monde published an extensive and interesting article (in French) on the European Union military observers monitoring the cease-fire lines between the Georgian Army and Ossetian militia. More analysis to come on that.
  • Civil Georgia is reporting that the opposition protesters will be expanding their “tent tactics” in continuing protests to the grounds of Georgian State TV.
  • Freelance journalist, blues singer, and blogger, Paul Rimple has another comical post rounding out the status of the opposition and the protests.
  • Mikhail Saakashvili announced he wants to strengthen Georgia before enter into negotiations with Russia, according to Kommersant (in Russian)
